What’s the difference between this line and Perma Blend’s current lip pigments?

This line has been exclusively developed by Tina Davies in collaboration with Perma Blend in a range of 12 new and modern colours.  The collection is part of an entire system that helps to bring the lip blushing tattoo process full circle: Try it, draw it, ink it, blush it.  In addition, the I LOVE INK Lip pigments have a higher pigment load than those in the Perma Blend line.  With maximum pigment load, you can get your clients desired results in as little as one treatment. Each set also includes an easy-to-use Colour Chart for quick reference and easy colour selection.

How are they better than Perma Blend’s current line?

These are still the exact same quality as Perma Blend’s lip pigments, however, they have been formulated with a maximum pigment load.  It also comes with a user-friendly Colour Chart that helps to eliminate colour selection and guesswork.

What can I expect after one treatment?

With maximum pigment load, you can expect vibrant and brilliant results after only one treatment.

What makes this line last longer than other PMU lines?

All of the colours are highly concentrated. The higher the concentration, the more saturation in the skin, the more saturation, the longer it will last. The pigment ingredients are comprised of the absolute highest quality pigments with the highest lightfastness rating for maximum colour stability and performance.

Can you mix these pigments?

Yes, you can mix with other Perma Blend pigments but it is not needed.  You may mix the colours to create custom blends using your artistic judgement to suit your client’s needs.

What are the ingredients in these pigments?

The ingredients are a combination of powder pigments, glycerin, witch hazel, aqua, rosin, benzyl alcohol, and isopropyl alcohol.  It is gamma-ray sterilized, vegan and cruelty-free. Please see our Pigment MSDS for our full ingredient listings.

What are the ingredients in the lip pencils?

The ingredients are a combination of pigments, paraffin oil, beeswax, ozocerite, caprylic/capric caprylic/capric triglyceride, petrolatum, carnauba wax, lanolin, BHA, methylparaben, and propylparaben.

What are the ingredients in the lip blush?

The ingredients are a combination of pigments, water, ethylene/propylene copolymer, trimethylsiloxyphenyl dimethicone, hydrogenated methyl rosinate, diisostearyl malate, octyldodecanol, hydroxyethylcellulose, sorbitan stearate, sucrose cocoate, and phenoxyaethanolum.

Do these pigments contain Iron Oxide?

Dusty Pink, Nude, Cinnamon, Pink Coral, Perfect Pink, and Orange Coral contain a small amount of Iron Oxide.  Iron oxides by themselves don’t seem to be stable for PMU, but when mixed with organic pigments they stay together and last a long time.

Do these pigments contain heavy metals?

No, they do not.

What will the retention of this pigment line be?

Knowing that the retention on lip tattooing can oftentimes be challenging, these pigments have been specifically formulated with maximum pigment load to yield the highest level of retention after one treatment.  The results soften and lighten by 30%-50% post-treatment based on technique and color selection.

Who can these pigments be used on?

Any client with lips that are not dark in pigmentation - such as brown or purple.

Working on dark lips is risky and should only be done if the artist can accept responsibility should the client lips hyperpigment or the client is fully aware of the risk.

What do these Collections cost?

Each Collection contains 6 pigments, 6 pencils, 6 lip blush stains, 10 applicators and a Colour Chart.  These are €230.

When will the individual lip pigments launch?

Individual pigments will be launching Spring 2020 and come in two options:

  • Single pigment, pencil and mini Colour Chart in one box.
  • Single pigment, pencil, lip blush and mini Colour Chart in one box.

How can I prevent these pigments from fading?

We suggest using sunblock while in the sun and be careful of what exfoliation chemicals you use on your face.

Do I need to modify these pigments?

These pigments do not need to be modified.  You may choose to modify if your client has very cool-toned lips.

We do not recommend any artists with less than 2 years experience attempt this.  To warm up cool or brown lips, Peach, Orange Coral and Flame are suitable modifiers.  This should be a procedure of its own. Once healed, proceed with the desired target colour.

What colours can be used to modify?

Our warm modifiers are Flame, Orange Coral, and Peach which can both be found in our Lust Collection.

How can I darken the pigment?

When using the Envy Collection, Wine can be used to darken any of the colours.  When using the Lust Collection, Soft Red can be used to darken any of the colours.

Do I need to do a follow-up/touch up with these pigments?

With maximum pigment load, there will be minimal touch ups required.  However, we always recommend booking a follow-up appointment with your client for any adjustments.

How do I choose the right shade for my client?

Our new I Love Ink Lip Collection is not just a product, it’s a new way to do lip procedures.  Here’s how the process works:

STEP 1 - TRY IT
Re-imagine your consultations by allowing your clients to try out the colour(s) they would like to have done by using our lip blush stain that is perfectly paired to the pigments. Easily narrow down the selection to your client’s favourite colour(s).  Reference the colour chart for easy selection

STEP 2 - DRAW IT
Pre-draw the shape with the matching pencil.  A sharpener is included for precision sharpening. This helps your client get even more comfortable with your ability to deliver their desired outcome

STEP 3 - INK IT
Tattoo the lips with the ink colour your client selected.

STEP 4 - BLUSH IT
Supply your client with a few lip blush stains so she can enhance or top-up her lips after the healing process for the “extra pop of colour”.

LIP BLUSH STAIN and LIP PENCIL FAQ’s

Will the healed result be exactly like the Lip Blush Stain?

The process of trying on the colour will help the client to envision the colour in a “general” way, to give them comfort, not to guarantee an exact healed result.  It’s an artist tool that simplifies the process of decision making. Of course, the final outcome is comprised of the client’s natural base tone + pigment + saturation + technique = end results.

Can I apply the Lip Blush Stain immediately after the procedure?

No.  This is a fresh wound and no cosmetics should be applied for 2 weeks post-procedure.

What kind of finish is this product?

These Lip Blush Stain’s have a stain finish.  When applied in a thin layer, this satin finish will appear close to what the natural healed results will be.

How do I apply this during consultation?

In order to get a “Lip Blush” look, please apply a thin layer on the lower lip with a disposable lip applicator.  Have your client rub their lips together to spread this thin and evenly across their lips. This will give a general idea of what to expect from the healed results of the matching pigment shade.

If applied in a more liberal layer, the Lip Blush Stain will appear more opaque, similar to immediate results on the day of the procedure.

Can I tattoo over the Lip Blush Stain?

We do not recommend tattooing over the Lip Blush Stain, only use this as a preview tool during the consultation.  If used as a guide during the procedure, it may stain the lips and you may find it difficult to see where you have deposited your pigment.

Can I tattoo over the Lip Pencils?

Yes, absolutely!  We recommend outlining your desired shape using the matching lip pencil as your guide.  This is Step 2 - Draw It and Step 3 - Ink It in our process.
